Samsung’s bada OS not going Symbian way

Internet Edition of India’s daily newspaper “The Times Of India” had a chance to take a small interview with Samsung mobile business’ senior vice president for global marketing “Younghee Lee”.

In the interview Younghee Lee said that the company would not let its own operating system take the same fall as Nokia’s Symbian.

Samsung is a multi-platform player. We offer consumers more choice in Bada, Android and Windows. Bada based smartphones have been quite successful for us and we have no plans to stop it.

Younghee Lee has also reported that Indian mobile market is third largest only after US and China, India, being the leading emerging market, will function as the core growth engine of Samsung’s global aspiration to become the No. 1 mobile company.
